Hapsai Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-20

Hapsai (“the app”, “we”) is a personal dashboard that shows your day on one screen: your calendar, your to-dos, your money and your fitness. It is run by Meraki Software, based in the Philippines (support@hapsai.app). This policy explains what the app does with your information, and in particular with the data it reads from your Google account.

1. Summary

  • The app only reads your Google Calendar. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in your Google account.
  • It keeps a short-lived copy of your upcoming events so it can show them to you, and nothing else.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
  • You can disconnect at any time, and we will delete your Google data.

2. What we access from Google, and why

When you connect Google Calendar, you are asked to grant this access:

  • “See and download any calendar you can access using your Google Calendar” (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly).

With that access, the app reads:

What it readsWhy
The list of calendars you have ticked (shown) in Google Calendar, with their names and coloursTo show only the calendars you chose to see, in their colours, with a legend
Google Calendar’s colour paletteTo show each event in the colour you gave it
Events on those calendars from yesterday to about 31 days aheadTo show today’s and tomorrow’s agenda, the next event, and a short “worth knowing” list of notable events in the coming month
For a recurring event, its series’ repeat ruleTo tell weekly events apart from monthly or yearly ones in the “worth knowing” list

The app checks for changes about every 10 minutes, and when you open or refresh the dashboard.

3. What we store

Google sends each event’s full details to the app. We store only what the dashboard shows:

  • Calendars: the calendar’s ID, name and colour; whether it’s your main calendar; and, if Google refused to show its events, the reason. Your main calendar’s ID is your Google email address.
  • Events: the title, location, start and end times, all-day or not, colour, and the name of its calendar. Also:
    • your own response (accepted, maybe, declined or not yet answered);
    • how many other guests there are (a number, not who they are);
    • whether it repeats and how often;
    • the link that opens it in Google Calendar.
  • Daily history: for each day, counts and times only, such as how many events you had and how many minutes were busy. No titles, names, locations or IDs are kept in it.

We do not store event descriptions, guests’ names or email addresses, video-call links, attachments, cancelled events, or “focus time” and “working location” blocks.

The stored events are replaced on every check, so the app only ever holds your latest window of events (yesterday to about 31 days ahead). Older events drop out within about 10 minutes of leaving that window. The only thing kept longer is the daily history of counts and times.

Your Google sign-in token (which lets the app keep reading your calendar without asking each time) is stored encrypted in our database. It is never shown in the app, logged, or sent anywhere except to Google.

4. How we use it

Your Google data is used only to show your own calendar to you inside the app: the agenda, the next-event tile, the “worth knowing” list, the calendar legend and your day’s history.

We do not:

  • sell, rent, or trade it;
  • use it for advertising, ad targeting or retargeting;
  • use it to decide creditworthiness or for lending;
  • transfer it to anyone else (data brokers, analytics or AI services included);
  • use it to create, train, or improve any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model.

People reading your data. No person reads your calendar data except:

  • you;
  • with your explicit permission (for example, when you ask us to look into a problem);
  • when needed for security, such as investigating abuse;
  • when the law requires it.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy: Limited Use

Hapsai‘s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

  • While connected: event data is kept only for the rolling window described above, and the daily counts are kept until you delete your account.
  • Disconnect: you can remove the app’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The app then stops reading your calendar.
  • Deletion: email support@hapsai.app to have everything deleted. This covers your Google token, your stored calendars and events, your daily history, and everything in section 8. We do this within 30 days.
  • Backups: encrypted backups of the app’s database are kept for up to 30 days. Deleted data disappears from them when they age out.

7. Security

The app runs on a server operated by Meraki Software in Singapore or Japan.

Data travels to and from Google over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and you reach the app over HTTPS at [my.hapsai.app](https://my.hapsai.app). Access to the server and database is limited to the operator.

8. Other information in the app

The app also shows information that doesn’t come from Google: services you connect, and things you enter yourself.

  • To-dos (Todoist): when you connect Todoist, the app reads your projects and sections, and your tasks that are overdue or due in the next week: each task’s title, description, due date, priority, labels and project. When you complete, add, edit or delete a task in the app, it makes that change in Todoist for you.
  • Fitness (Garmin): when you connect Garmin, the app reads your daily readiness, sleep score, HRV status and Body Battery, your activities (type, name, time, distance, duration, heart rate and pace), and your planned workouts.
  • Money: the accounts, bills, budgets and transactions you enter. The app doesn’t connect to your bank.
  • Journal: the mood, energy, notes and tags you enter.

The sign-in tokens for these services are stored encrypted in our database, like the Google one. All of this is used only to show it to you, is never sold, shared or used for advertising, and is deleted with the rest of your data when you ask (section 6).

9. The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we store the email address you give, anything you write in the optional “What would you want from it?” box, and the date you joined. We use them only to tell you when the app is out and to learn what you’d want from the app. They are stored in a database at Cloudflare, which hosts this website. We never sell or share them or use them for advertising.

We keep your entry until you have an account, or for a year after the app is out, whichever comes first. To be removed sooner, email support@hapsai.app.

10. Children

The app is not meant for children under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app uses Google data, we will update this page and ask you to agree before the app uses your data in the new way. The date at the top shows the latest version.
